Businesses in Ho Chi Minh City expect the Resolution will create favorable conditions for production and trade and promote administrative reform. At a recent conference on the Resolution in Ho Chi Minh City, Tran Viet Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Nam Thai Son Import-Export Company, said that since the adoption of the Resolution, credit institutions have become more open to businesses. Ho Chi Minh City’s State Bank of Vietnam has closely followed the Resolution by maximizing its support for businesses.

Dr. Vu Tien Loc, a member of the National Assembly's Economic Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center, said the Resolution has integrated this year’s socio-economic development plan and the reform plan to improve the business environment and enhance competitiveness. It allows banks to offer a 2% interest rate support for social housing, low-income housing, and housing for workers, connects banks and businesses, and removes difficulties for businesses in priority areas such as export, agriculture, rural areas, support industries, and high-tech enterprises.

Nguyen Duc Lenh, Vice Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Branch, said: “We enhance the efficiency of State management to ensure that the support packages and credit programs are implemented effectively and transparently and reach the right beneficiaries. We strengthen connections between banks and businesses to communicate policies and remove difficulties for businesses.”

Ho Chi Minh City businesses believe that the government, the city, and relevant agencies will have more breakthrough solutions in administrative and legal reform and specific actions to open more resources for enterprises to stabilize their production and grow strongly this year.
