Da Nang pilots “electronic residential model”

(VOVWORLD) - Da Nang city has piloted an “electronic residential model” in Hải Châu 1, Nam Dương, Hòa Cường Nam and Thạch Thang ward in Hai Chau district. Administrative procedures are being handled at the residential areas instead of at the offices of the People’s Committee and People’s Council.

Hai Chau district has about 3,000 civil electronic accounts. Over 70% of administrative services have been done online, a high rate compared with other district in Da Nang city.

People need to sign in for an account on the web portal www.egov.danang.gov.vn. They can call the city’s administrative switchboard for further instruction or come to the ward’s office to use the facilities with the help of volunteers.

Once their personal accounts are activated, they can access the city’s electronic administration system and carry out administrative services online. They can also send their opinions on the city’s socio-economic issues.

The model of "electronic residential area" helps improve the efficiency of building an e-government that can respond quickly and conveniently to people’s requests, and save time and cost. It helps people and organizations in handling administrative procedures.

Hai Chau district will deploy an "electronic residential area" in all 13 wards within this month. After Hai Chau district, Da Nang city will continue to use this model in other districts.
