Hanoi among Asia’s seven most beautiful autumn destinations

(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi ranks fifth in the list of the seven “best places to see beautiful autumn foliage in Asia” published by the UK’s travel and lifestyle magazine Time Out. The capital’s romantic, gentle yet vibrant autumn charm has been winning the hearts of international visitors.

According to Time Out, travelers come to Hanoi not to admire brilliant autumn foliage like in Kyoto or Nami Island, but rather to experience a uniquely Vietnamese autumn atmosphere. “A lesser-known city for viewing fall foliage, Hanoi’s Old Quarter brings out the colors as the temperature dips. Taking a stroll around the Hoan Kiem Lake is the best way to take in the reds and golds of the fall,” Time Out wrote on September 15.

Having visited Vietnam multiple times, Ali al Sayegh, a tourist from Kuwait, shared his affection for Hanoi: "I’ve had a wonderful time in Hanoi, and I always come back and stay here for a long time. People are so kind, sweet, friendly, and sociable. The best time to visit Vietnam is autumn, when the weather is nice and cool. We come to enjoy our time in Hanoi during this season with the people, all the social events, and activities. You can see on the streets dancing, singing, and children playing with their toys around Hoan Kiem Lake."

Commenting on Hanoi’s recognition by the UK’s travel and lifestyle magazine, Mr. Trinh Viet Dung, Director of Asiana Travel, said: “Time Out’s ranking of Hanoi as one of the most popular and fastest-growing destinations in the region is a positive sign, reflecting the city’s rising tourist arrivals. In particular, we’ve seen clear growth from markets such as Europe, the United States, India, Russia, and Central Asia in recent times. This shows that Vietnam’s tourism promotion and marketing efforts are paying off—a very encouraging signal for Vietnam’s tourism industry in the near future.”

Joining Hanoi in the top seven are Ibaraki and Kyoto (Japan), Nami Island (South Korea), Alishan (Taiwan), and Zhangjiajie and Jiuzhaigou (China)—all renowned for their stunning autumn landscapes. Yet Hanoi, with its unique romantic character and a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, continues to captivate visitors with its timeless charm.
