Since the beginning of the year, the number of visitors passing through the Huu Nghi International Border Gate has surged, reaching a peak of 8,000 people per day. This month, the Border Guard Station has processed 69,000 travel certificates.
Zhou Bin, a tourist from Zhejiang province, China, said: 'I often travel through the Huu Nghi International Border Gate. While completing procedures here, I and other visitors received enthusiastic guidance from the authorities, making the process very smooth and efficient."
To facilitate entry and exit, authorities have optimized electronic systems for traffic management, and provided guidance to help passengers move efficiently.
Captain Trinh Van Bac, Deputy Head of the Border Guard Station at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Lang Son province, said: "We have deployed additional personnel at key locations, especially at processing areas. At the same time, we have provided guidance on a specific section to maintain strict control while ensuring a smooth flow of passengers."
Lang Son authorities recently met with representatives of the People's Government of Pingxiang city, Guangxi province, China, to promote cross-border tourism cooperation. Both sides agreed to jointly study and implement an electronic visa system at the Tan Thanh-Po Chai customs point, and organize cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges.
Luu Ba Mac, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Lang Son province, said: "Lang Son will enhance investment promotion and expand tourism offerings, particularly through collaboration with Guangxi province on a pilot model for the Tan Thanh-Po Chai cross-border tourism area, featuring diverse and attractive tourism products. We will focus on sightseeing, education of traditions, and shopping at the border. We will also establish a cooperative framework and regularly exchange information with Guangxi about tourism management and exit, entry, transit, and stay procedures in order to ensure security, efficiency, and convenience."
