Vietnam, Japan Coast Guards strengthen cooperation

In his address, Lieutenant General Dao highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Japan, which was elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023.
He emphasized Japan’s significant support in enhancing the capacity of the Vietnam Coast Guard, particularly through training programs and technical exchanges facilitated by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Deputy Ambassador Ishikawa said the Vietnam Coast Guard is one of Japan’s key partners in maritime security and safety. He expressed hope for continued cooperation in ongoing and future projects, especially those on training, education, and capacity-building for Vietnam’s maritime law enforcement forces.
