This year’s festival will bring together representatives from eight Northeast provinces including Bac Kan, Cao Bang, and Ha Giang, as well as guests from China, some foreign embassies in Vietnam, the Vietnam-Japan Culture Center, and the Vietnam-Korea Culture Center.

Attendees can enjoy performances, traditional ethnic rituals, and culinary showcases. The event will also feature exciting sports contests like tug-of-war, stilt walking, and con ball throwing, a competition for tour guides, and a tourism workshop exploring Northeast cultural tourism’s potential and development.

An array of exhibitions will highlight the culture of different ethnic groups in the region.

Mr. Nguyen Dang An, Director of Lang Son province’s Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said: “Preparations for the festival are complete. Since early October, we have launched promotional campaigns in all corners of Lang Son province and strengthened communications on press and social media. We have also promoted tourism for the UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark. A conference between 8 Northeastern provinces and HCM City was also held.”

This event, held every three years, is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the unique cultural heritage of Northeast Vietnam’s ethnic groups.
