Travel companies in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province, are offering incentive programs, such as giving vouchers and lucky money to tourists. This year’s trend is resort tourism and cultural discovery. Localities and organizations have organized traditional music performances, masquerade festivals, lion dances, and culinary events to promote local specialties. Some tourist sites, resorts, and hotels will organize New Year's Eve celebrations for foreign tourists.

Quang Ninh province has about 370 cruise ships on Ha Long Bay, which are well-equipped and offer convenient and fantastic services to tourists. Besides high-quality resorts, many foreign guests choose to welcome the New Year’s Eve on cruise ships in Ha Long Bay, a World Natural Heritage Site.

Khanh Hoa province has prepared to welcome a large number of foreign tourists, mostly from China. It will receive 5 flights from China in the last 2 weeks of January, which coincides with the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. After a three-year of hiatus due to COVID-19, China’s reopening is a good sign for Khanh Hoa’s tourism.

Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Tourism, said: “Being a safe destination, Khanh Hoa offers unique and attractive services and products. Tourism companies will renew their products and ensure service quality.”

After the COVID-19 pandemic, an increasing number of foreign tourists are choosing to spend their New Year holidays in Vietnam.
