Quang Ninh province’s Department of Customs has intensified administrative reform and shifted to working online to shorten by one or two days the average time needed to complete export and import procedures, and to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection by minimizing direct contact between customs officials and businesses. Over the last 8 months, it processed 54,000 e-customs declarations worth 7.8 billion USD for1,000 businesses.

Trinh Van Nhuan, Deputy Director of Quang Ninh’s Department of Customs, said:  “We have offered online administrative services and implemented the national single-door customs mechanism toward a smart customs system. It’s the main component of administrative reform and the results have been highly praised. We will continue to improve customs clearance procedures.”

HCMC’s Customs Department has offered online administrative services at the Department and sub-Department level on the online Public Service System of the National Single-Door Information Portal. 1.63 million customs declarations have been processed, 100,000 more than in 2020.

Da Nang city’s Customs Department has pledged to cut the time required for administrative procedures. Businesses can complete applications online and receive advice via telephone, Zalo, or email.
