Socialism is the only path selected by the Vietnamese people

(VOVWORLD) -  After the debut of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s book “Several theoretical and practical issues of socialism and the path toward socialism in Vietnam”, some overseas bloggers commented that the viewpoints and arguments in the book are obsolete and that Vietnam’s moving toward socialism is a mistake. These comments are calculated to undermine Vietnamese people’s  confidence in the Party’s ideological goals and advance a hostile “peaceful evolution” agenda.

Throughout Vietnam’s revolution, the Party, State, political system, and entire people have been loyal, confident, and determined to pursue socialism by creatively applying Marxism-Leninism. The Vietnamese people consider this a wise decision made in line with the goals of the revolution and vindicated by its results.

During the difficult days of the early 20th century, Vietnam’s revolutionary path toward socialism initiated and led by President Ho Chi Minh proved convergent with historical trends and brought great success. Through successive historical periods, Vietnam has gained repeated victories in its struggles for national liberation and national renewal, strong evidence that the Vietnamese people made the right decision.

The Communist Party of Vietnam has remained loyal to the revolution’s goal of upholding the interests of the nation and people.

In the fight against COVID-19, the Vietnamese Party, people, and army have stayed united to overcome difficulties, contain the pandemic, and develop the economy in the new normal period.

Vietnam’s achievements are evidence of the success of Vietnam’s revolution and advantages of its socialist regime.

Overcoming numerous difficulties in its 35 years of national renewal, Vietnam has made great strides and gained considerable achievements economically. Despite a global economic crisis, Vietnam maintained its stability, quickly recovered and grew sustainably while expanding its economic potential and strengthening social security. The 13th National Party Congress after reviewing 35 years of national renewal said Vietnam has never before had the prestige, potential and status it has today.

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said a socialist society has the fine, sustainable, core values that human kind is aiming for. It is a society that is truly for the people, where economic development parallels social progress and equality.

It is a society of compassion, solidarity, mutual support, a society that embraces progress, humanity, sustainable development, and harmony with nature that ensures a good future for current and future generations, a society with a political system that is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Thanks to its achievements in advancing toward socialism, many countries have cooperated with Vietnam. So far, Vietnam has established diplomatic ties with 189 on every continent including powerful countries and the permanent members of the UN Security Council. Vietnam has strategic partnerships with 17 countries, 3 of them comprehensive strategic partnerships, and comprehensive partnerships with 13 countries.

The international status of the Communist Party of Vietnam is growing. Most countries and parties in the world acknowledge and respect Vietnam’s selected path to socialism and its efforts to build and develop the current regime. They consider Vietnam a unique model that encourages other countries to pursue socialism to achieve the goals of humanity, peace, national independence and self-reliance.

Theoretical arguments that the Communist Party of Vietnam and Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong has made have been acknowledged by other countries, parties, and organizations.

Many political parties and newspapers around the world have printed articles by Party leader Trong and analyzed his arguments.

International friends have expressed their confidence in Vietnam’s success on its path to socialism. It’s obvious that Vietnam’s path to socialism has been beneficial and is the best way forward for the Vietnamese revolution.

The Vietnamese Party, people, and army are working hard to build a socialist society and strengthen national renewal and development and are confident in the revolutionary path they have chosen.
