(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese people are excited for the upcoming 4-day National Day holiday, starting Saturday. This has led to a significant increase in the number of tourists.

Hanoi is expected to welcome tens of thousands of visitors during the holiday. Alongside well-known attractions like the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, One Pillar Pagoda, Thu Le Zoo, and the Old Quarter, newer destinations such as West Lake Lotte Mall, Vinhomes Ocean Park, and various suburban tourist spots are also anticipated to draw large crowds.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism has planned to organize around 20 events to enhance visitors’ experience, offering opportunities for exploration, entertainment, and shopping.

In addition, a group of 4,500 Indian tourists, arriving in multiple smaller groups, are visiting Hanoi, Ha Long, and Ninh Binh until Tuesday.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Anh, Director of the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Tourism, said: "We have coordinated with restaurants specializing in Indian cuisine and travel agencies to ensure the best service, tailored to the cultural and culinary preferences of the Indian guests. We hope the quality of our service will convey the province's hospitality."

Thua Thien-Hue province is expected to welcome around 120,000 visitors during this year's National Day, marking a 22.4% increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, Khanh Hoa province, though not hosting large-scale events, is attracting numerous tourists with its diverse offerings in resort stays, entertainment, and nature-based activities across islands, bays, forests, and mountains.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Tourism, said: "We anticipate room occupancy of 50-60% without sudden price hikes. We will also enhance inspection and supervision to ensure that tourism businesses comply with regulations, maintaining market stability."

The September 2 holiday marks the final peak of the summer tourist season and coincides with the start of the academic year for university students, leading to an increase in domestic travel across the country. It is forecasted that millions of both domestic and international travelers will visit popular destinations such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Sapa, Moc Chau, and Con Dao.
