Established in 1996 and considered one of the most successful industrial zones in the central region, Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc Industrial Park has attracted an impressive number of domestic and foreign businesses.
Nguyen Ngo, Deputy Director the Park’s Management Board, says 63 projects are registered with the park, of which 29 are FDI projects worth 490 million USD.
According to Ngo, “The industrial park has a strategic geographical location. It is near Da Nang International Airport and Tien Sa deep-water port. The connecting road system and the park’s infrastructure are already in operation.”
The industrial park’s economic potential and geographic advantages have helped Quang Nam province to promote economic cooperation and international integration.
He says the industrial park already provides 25,000 jobs and contributes about 8.8 million USD to the state budget, adding: “95% of the park’s area has been occupied. We are looking for investors to cover the remaining 20 hectares. We have managed to attract 4 investors, 3 of them are foreign companies. We hope more investors will invest in Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc.”

Under the master development plan of northern Quang Nam province, Dien Nam–Dien Ngoc urban area will become an urban area with a population of 150,000 people.
Nguyen Hao, Deputy Director of the management board of Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc urban area, says: “So far 70 investors have invested 176 million USD in the Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc urban center, more than half of which has been disbursed. In 15 years, the area has changed a lot. Its infrastructure has been improved to serve the economic growth of Quang Nam province and Dien Ban district.”
Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc Industrial Park has created a number of incentives to attract domestic and foreign investors.
Tu Van Ha, Deputy Director of Construction Investment Company 501, one of the first owners to the Industrial Park, said: “We decided to invest in the park when Quang Nam first called for investors. We hope that the local authorities will create an open legal corridor to make it easier for investors.”
Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc Industrial Park’s infrastructure is already in place. A 5,000-cubic-meter waste water treatment plant is operational, and 15% of the park’s area has been covered with trees to reduce dust and noise. Quang Nam is trying hard to make Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc a model industrial park.
