(VOVworld) - The French Committee in Support of the Van Canh Friendship Village held a concert in Paris on Friday to seek sympathy and support for Vietnamese Agent Orange/Dioxin victims.
Committee President and Chairman of the Republic Veteran Association Raphael Vahe said that 40 years after the war many Vietnamese generations have been suffering the lingering consequences of the 80 million liters of herbicides the US army sprayed on Vietnam.
The French Committee in Support of the Van Canh Friendship Village has conducted several activities in support of Vietnamese Agent Orange/dioxin victims and will soon complete a therapy pool to help treat and rehabilitate war veterans and Agent Orange victims.
Vietnamese ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son said that supporting Agent Orange victims and advocating social solidarity is one of the Vietnamese government’s priorities. He thanked French friends for coming to the concert and said that their support will help ease the daily difficulties of the victims.
