Poor students receive Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships
(VOVworld)- The HCM City Labor Federation on Saturday, presented 181 scholarships worth more than 300 million VND to poor and disadvantaged students with outstanding academic results.

The Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship, which is worth 1.2 to 3 million VND, intends to encourage poor and disadvantaged students to overcome their difficulties and gain success in their study. Nguyen Mai Phuong is one of the scholarship recipients:
“The scholarship has helped such poor students like me to pay school fees. I really hope that more donors will help poor students so that we can have more motivation to learn”.
In the last 22 years, the Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship program has given more than 21,000 gifts and scholarships worth approximately 11 billion VND to children of workers.
