Nguyen Kim Bay, chief security officer of the Hung Temple’s Management Board, said infrastructure has been well prepared to ensure traffic safety.

“Every year, a large number of people come here to burn incense to pay tribute to the Hung Kings, the legendary founders of the Vietnamese nation. During the Lunar New Year festival (Tet) we expect to receive 10,000 to 20,000 pilgrims every day,” Mr Bay explained.

The Hung Temple is considered one the most sacred places in Vietnam, where the Hung Kings built the nation 4,000 years ago. People come to pray for good luck in the New Year and go for sight-seeing in the early days of spring.
