(VOVWorld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has expressed appreciation for the programs to develop rural transport networks over the past 10 years. A meeting was held in Ha Nam province on Saturday to review the program which was launched in 2001 as part of the program to build new rural areas and to implement the 10-year transport development strategy until 2020. Deputy Prime Minister Phuc also pointed out that the quality and safety of the rural transport system remain low and the transport network in mountainous regions recorded no breakthroughs. Phuc asked the Ministry of Transport to work closely with relevant ministries and localities to lure more investment to develop transport system in rural areas, particularly in underprivileged and mountainous regions.
