117 works win National Press Awards

(VOVworld) – The 2012 National Press Awards on Sunday selected 117 most outstanding works, including 5 A prizes, 28 B prizes, and 45 C prizes, from 160 entries of the final round.

According to the jury, press works competing in this 7th event were of high quality covering rich topics, and demonstrate journalists’ research skills, reducing the gap between central and local media. Notably, radio programs made a big leap forward and the online newspapers participated for the first time. Many entries unearthed weighty issues, had social influence, and displayed a professional integrity and skills. Organizers will present the awards on the 88th Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day on June 21st.
