Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc congratulated the 11th Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the 2017-2022

Delegates elected the 31-member Standing Committee and the four-member Secretariat. Le Quoc Phong, First Secretary of the 10^th Central Committee of the Youth Union tenure was re-elected for the 11^th Committee for the next 5 years. The delegates approved a resolution of the 11^th Congress of the Youth Union Committee. In its letter, the congress said it has completed all agenda after a 3-day working session.

Phong said the congress’s success motivates Youth Union organizations at all levels and young people across the country to enter a new tenure with both favorable conditions and challenges ahead. He urged each youth delegate to take concrete actions to their mission in the locality.

During the session, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and re-elected First Secretary Le Quoc Phong signed a Joint Resolution on a cooperation mechanism between the Government and the Youth Union Central Committee until 2022. The resolution aims to promote youth participation in developing the socio-economy, ensuring security and defense, and building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
