13th NA wraps up 3rd session passing major laws and ordinances

(VOVworld)-The 13th National Assembly has concluded its 3rd session in Hanoi. Deputies have reviewed and approved 13 laws and ordinances on legislative program for next year. They commented on 6 draft laws and required the National Assembly Standing Committee and relevant agencies to collect more opinions for submission in the next session.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung was addressing the closing session:“We need to ensure an early completion and efficient implementation of the proposal on economic restructuring in the context of national and world difficulties. Incentive policies on agricultural investment need to be finetuned. We must focus on resolving major complaints in land resettlement and compensation in urban and industrial zones while harmonizing the interests of the State, investors and local people. Policies and law on combating crimes must be improved to ensure a stable environment for socio economic development.”

Chairman Hung urged the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, the People’s Supreme Court and People’s Supreme Procuracy to implement National Assembly’s resolutions. He called for deputies to report the session outcomes to voters and supervise the resolution of voters’ concerns:“The National Assembly assigns its Standing Committee, Ethnicities Council and various committees to hold meeting with ministers to address emerging issues in state management. Deputies should participate in those meetings to improve the quality of National Assembly’s performance and ensure transparency in  public supervision of state agencies”
