The Party Central Committee praised efforts of the Party, people and army for responding to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, successfully organizing the elections of the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils in the 2021-2026 term, and containing the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, in the first half of this year, Vietnam’s economy grew 5.64% and budget collection reached more than 58.2 against the estimates while investment, production, businesses and export activities continued to grow. But more is needed to be done to achieve all the set targets, said the Party leader noting that the country is facing both opportunities and challenges.

'The Party, people, and army need to continue efforts to realize the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress in order to achieve plans set for the whole tenure which are ensuring rapid, sustainable economic growth on the basis of stabilizing macro-economy, reining in inflation, promoting science, technology, and innovation, and achieving an economic growth higher than the average of the 2016-2020 period to make Vietnam a modern industrial developed country.' said Mr. Trong.
