WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that initially, when there will be a limited supply of COVID-19 vaccines, it will be important to deliver the vaccines to those at highest risk around the globe. But he added more funding is needed and countries now need to make binding commitments.
Bruce Aylward, a WHO senior adviser, urged countries to join the COVAX plan to ensure that some vaccine gets to every country as early as possible.
