17th Party Congress sets new goals, tasks for Hanoi’s development
(VOVWORLD) - The 17th Congress of Hanoi’s Party organisation opened its 2020-2025 tenure on Monday, attended by 497 official delegates, representing 450,000 Party members.

The Congress will review implementation of the Resolution of the previous Congress, and set goals, directions, and tasks for the the capital city until 2025, with an orientation to 2030 and a vision to 2045.
According to a draft action program, Hanoi’s per capita gross regional domestic product is set to climb to 8,500 USD by 2025 and 36,000 USD by 2045.
The Congress will elect a municipal Party committee for this term and a delegation to attend the 13th National Party Congress, and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 13th Party Congress.
The Congress will convene until Tuesday.
