18 more COVID-19 infections reported in Vietnam, most linked to Da Nang

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 18 new COVID-19 infections in the past 12 hours, raising its total count by Tuesday evening to 670. 

Of the new cases, 16 are from the central city of Da Nang, now Vietnam’s coronavirus hotspot, one from the southern province of Dong Nai, and the remainder is a returnee from Equatorial Guinea.

378 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam have recovered and 8 deaths have been reported.

Worldwide, nearly 700,000 people have died of COVID-19.
