(VOVworld) – The Vietnam National Youth Committee and the Hanoi People’s Committee held a dialogue on 18-year-old citizens and National Assembly elections on Tuesday.
The aim of the dialogue was to increase young people’s awareness of the importance of the election and encourage them to vote. Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said: “Young people should be supported in being more confident in self-nomination. We believe that the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, and the National Electoral Council will nominate young candidates for election.”
At the dialogue, young voters were told about the law on the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.
