2014 National Robothon Contest - useful playground for students
(VOVworld) - The 2014 Vietnam Robothon Contest for primary school students opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday with the participation of 186 pupils.

The contest draw 62 teams nationwide to compete at the second robot competition entitled “Urban waste management”. |
During the competition entitled “Urban waste management”, contestants must complete five tasks. They include transporting the waste to a recycling plant, dumping waste transfer to bio-remediation, transforming trash into syngas, distributing power, and returning to starting point.

The best three teams will advance to the International Robotics Competition, scheduled for Malaysia at the end of this month. Teacher Nguyen Quang Vinh, Head of Primary School Section of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Education and Training, said: “It is not a simple extracurricular activity. Through the contest we want to uphold their creativity. Primary school students can apply the knowledge they learn at school regarding information technology and scientific advances. ”
