India has had the second highest number of infections, more than 32 million, while Brazil has had the second highest number of deaths, nearly 570,000.

Asia is the continent with the most coronavirus infections – more than 66 million.

Europe recorded 105,000 new cases in the past 24 hours. Russia is the European country with the highest number of deaths, more than 171,000.
