Forward Ngan Thi Van Su, who scored two goals against the Maldives, said: “These are my first goals for the national team this year. My goals were headers despite not having a height advantage, which made me very happy. We gave our all for the fans, but still missed a few chances. We will improve in our upcoming matches."

At the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, 34 teams were drawn into six groups of four teams and two groups of five. The group stage winners will qualify for Asian Cup finals. 

Vietnam is in Group E and will face the UAE, Guam, and the Maldives at Viet Tri Stadium in Phu Tho province from June 29 to July 5.

On Wednesday, Vietnam will face the UAE at 7:00 PM, while the Maldives will play Guam at 4:00 PM.
