Among them, the Vietnam Exposition Center, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia and one of the world’s top 10 exhibition complexes. Located in the northeast of Hanoi, the center covers an area of over 900,000 m².

Ly Hoa Lien, Deputy CEO of the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Company, said: “This is a symbol of Hanoi and the country. The design of this landmark can be seen from afar, even from airplanes, because of its massive shape. It is a source of pride for many Hanoians. With over 100,000 m² of indoor space, the complex has multiple functions, able to host numerous events such as exhibitions, trade, art, sports, and political activities. This is an unprecedented construction in Vietnam.”

Also on August 19, 161 projects broke ground simultaneously, including Gia Binh Airport in Bac Ninh province.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told the Government’s Committee meeting in May: “Gia Binh Airport is a very important project, helping to ease the overload at Noi Bai Airport. Second, it will contribute to raising the country’s profile as the host of APEC 2027. Third, it will enhance the capital city’s appearance, improve its landscape, and help relieve traffic congestion in Hanoi. Construction work must be accelerated so that both the runway and the airport will be completed in 2026.”
