28 works of literary theory and criticism honored
(VOVWORLD) - Twenty-eight outstanding works of literary and artistic theory and criticism published in 2016 and 2017 were honored at an awards ceremony in Hanoi on Monday. Vo Van Thuong, head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication and Education, attended the event.
The awards honor works that have a direct impact on the Party and State’s direction in arts and literature.
“Most of the works have proven useful to national literature and art. The Council has created regulations that ensure the transparency, publicity, democracy, and prestige of the award,” said Associate Professor Doctor Phan Trong Thuong, Vice Chairman of the Central Council for the Theory and Criticism of Literature.
Nine collectives were honored for their contributions to the theory and criticism of Vietnamese art and literature.
