Arrests were made the same day of suspected members of the outlawed Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK). Diyarbakir province has been unstable for months and has seen a series of attacks by PKK gunmen.
Seven police officers were killed and 27 people wounded when a car bomb hit a police vehicle in Diyarbakir province at the end of March.
Turkey has been rocked by waves of violence since a ceasefire between the PKK and security forces collapsed in July.
