310 Vietnamese citizens repatriated from Republic of Korea

(VOVWORLD) - A special flight on Sunday brought home 310 Vietnamese citizens stranded in the Republic of Korea by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The flight was made possible by Vietnamese and Korean agencies, and Vietnam Airlines, according to Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Passengers included elderly people, children under 18, pregnant women, sick people, guest workers with expired labour contracts, students who just completed an academic year, and student tourists.

After landing at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, all passengers and crew members underwent medical exams and were transferred to quarantine facilities pursuant to COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
