(VOVworld) – The 2013 national tourism year of the Red River delta, which closed in Hai Phong on Saturday, has attracted 35 million visitors. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hoang Tuan Anh praised the achievements of 11 provinces and cities and Hai Phong’s efforts to boost inter-regional tourism development and improve service quality. He said: “Red River delta provinces should continue to strengthen their links to create aggregate strength and diversify tourism products. Greater efforts should be made to promote tourism destinations and products toward building a tourism brand for the Red River delta.”

At the closing ceremony, the organizing board of this year’s event handed over the program’s flag to leaders of Lam Dong province, who will host National Tourism Year 2014.
