(VOVworld) – Colombia has given priority to developing cooperation with Vietnam, one of its most important partners in the Asia Pacific region. Colombian Deputy Foreign Minister Patty Londono made the remark at a ceremony to mark the 35th anniversary of Vietnamese-Colombian diplomatic ties in the capital Bogota. The Vietnamese ambassador to Venezuela and Colombia, Ngo Tien Dung, hailed the country for its opening of a permanent embassy in Hanoi. He said Vietnam has always attached great importance to boosting comprehensive cooperation with Colombia, especially in economics and trade. The ambassador also presented a letter from State President Truong Tan Sang inviting Columbian President Manuel Santos to visit Vietnam.
Marking the occasion, the Vietnamese embassy in Colombia held programs to introduce Vietnamese culture, cuisine, photos and folk music performances.
