(VOVworld) – More than 2,200 athletes from 42 countries will take part in the Asian Beach Games (ABG) slated for 24 September to 3 October in the central province of Da Nang.

ABG’s board said on Thursday that it has completed draft rules for 22 sports at the tournament, outlined scenarios of flag hoisting ceremonies for the participating countries, set up a media centre and began training volunteers. The medical sub-committee is training staff in doping testing and working with the Olympic Council of Asia, the Southeast Asian Regional Anti-Doping Organization, and anti-doping organizations from the Republic of Korea, Japan and Thailand to staff the event.
