(VOVworld) – The 42nd New Hanoi Newspaper running competition was launched in Hanoi on Sunday.
This is part of activities by Hanoi’s People’s Committee to mark the 70th anniversary of the 1945 August Revolution, Vietnam’s National Day, the 61st anniversary of Hanoi’s liberation, 16 years of UNESCO’s recognition of Hanoi as a city for peace, and 58 years of the first edition of the New Hanoi newspaper. More than 5,000 people from 55 agencies and organizations in Ba Dinh district participated in the competition.
Editor-in-chief of the New Hanoi newspaper To Quang Phan said: “The competition has over the last 40 years attracted a large number of people, particularly young people. Many young talented athletes have been discovered, who obtained important achievements at national, regional, and international competitions.”
