51 years of Paris Peace Accords: a milestone in Vietnam’s revolutionary history
(VOVWORLD) - 51 years ago, on January 27, 1973, a Peace Accords on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam was signed in Paris.

The Paris Peace Accords took effect on January 28 and the last American soldier left Vietnam on March 29, 1973.
The Accords ended the longest negotiation in the 20th century with 202 public meetings and 45 private meetings between Vietnam and the US and marked a decisive step for Vietnam to reach the final victory.
The Paris Peace Accords is a combined victory on all military, political, and diplomatic fronts. The victory of the Accord and the US’s withdrawal from Vietnam contributed greatly to the liberation of Laos and Cambodia, opening a new chapter of peace and stability in Southeast Asia.
