6th plenary session of the Ethnic Minorities Council opens

(VOVworld)- The National Assembly’s Ethnic Minorities Council held its 6th plenary session in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday to discuss the Law on Employment, and the revised law on Science and Technology. The delegates stressed the need to clarify vocational training and job generation in rural and remote areas, labor export and unemployment insurance. Giang A Chu, Vice President of the Council, says: “The delegates agreed to issue the Law on Employment. The State has paid special attention to job generation for rural workers. The deputies discussed regulations on enterprises’ responsibility for using laborers as well as vocational training and job generation for ethnic minority people”.

The deputies said that it was necessary to ban human cloning in the Law on Science and Technology. Article 5 of the law should be changed to stipulate that the principles of scientific research be closely associated with the reality of life and Article 6 should stipulate that the state builds and develops the scientific and technological market and that the State funds scientific and technological development in disadvantaged areas.
