(VOVworld) – The General Department of Customs marked its 70^th anniversary in Hanoi on Tuesday. Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan presented the department with the Independence Order, first class and praised its important contributions to administrative reform, IT application, and e-customs to meet the needs of Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization process.

Vice President Doan said: “The department should continue to improve its staff’s qualifications and apply science and technology in administrative reform. More emulation movements should be launched to encourage creativity and increase efficiency, contributing to national socio-economic development.”
