Addressing the event, Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh praised the significance of bilateral progress, especially high-level visits, cultural exchanges and workshops.

“This is a meaningful historical event in bilateral relations and an opportunity to review our progress made by both countries over the past 70 years. It’s an opportunity for us to pay tribute to Russian and Soviet Union friends who supported Vietnam in its struggle for national independence, construction and development,” said Ambassador Manh.

A representative from the Russian Foreign Ministry, Nicolai Nozdrev, Head of the Asia 3 Department, hailed the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia and hoped for further progress in bilateral ties, especially in efficient cooperation on international forums as Vietnam is a non-permanent member to the UN Security Council.
