(VOVworld) – A gathering of overseas Vietnamese in Russia was held on Tuesday to mark the 71^st anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 26^th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Defense Day.

Vietnamese Military Attaché Nguyen Van Hai praised the people’s support and involvement in the success of every victory of Vietnam’s history of national construction and development. He said that Vietnam is modernizing its army and expanding cooperation with international friends. Russia is Vietnam’s vital partner and has helped Vietnam train defense officials and modernize its weaponry.
