80 more domestic cases of COVID-19 reported Friday noon

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded 80 more local COVID-19 cases Friday noon, bringing the total count since the morning to 132. 

44 of the latest cases were in the northern province of Bac Giang, 23 in neighboring Bac Ninh, 11 in HCM city and two in Hanoi.

All the cases in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh are associated with existing outbreaks at the provinces' industrial parks and other locked down areas. 

9 cases in HCM city are linked to the Revival Ekklesia Mission cluster. The other two cases live in Thu Duc and were detected after they went to a hospital for check-ups. Health authorities are investigating the sources of their infections.

The cases in Hanoi are all related to a cluster at the T&T company.

Vietnam has confirmed 8,195 cases including more than 3,000 recoveries and 49 deaths.
