VFF President Tran Thanh Man  was speaking at a ceremony to mark the sect’s 80th founding anniversary in the southern province of An Giang. He praised Hoa Hao Buddhist dignitaries and followers’s important contributions to the past struggle for national liberation and current nation-building cause.

He hailed their efforts to promote the tradition of patriotism, implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies, and actively participate in movements launched by the VFF Central Committee.
The official also spoke highly of Hoa Hao Buddhists’ participation in charitable activities, and voiced his hope that the sect will contribute more to further develop the nation.
