(VOVworld) – The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has, over the past 85 years, led its people in overcoming difficulties and poverty to reach its current level of development and assume a more important role in the region and the world. At a celebration to mark the 85^thanniversary of the CPV in Egypt on Tuesday, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Dao Thanh Chung said that under the Party’s sound leadership, Vietnam has made great achievements to secure its national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

On this occasion, the embassy screened documentary films and exhibited books featuring the Party’s history and the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to Vietnam’s revolution, and paid tribute to Vietnam’s leaders and soldiers for their sacrifice during the wars for national independence.
