9 more COVID-19 cases reported in Hai Duong

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported 9 more COVID-19  cases, all in Hai Duong province, the current pandemic epicenter of Vietnam, said the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control at 6pm Wednesday.

Six of the new cases are in Kim Lien commune, Kim Thanh district, a new coronavirus hotspot in Hai Duong. They tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus during their stay in the lockdown area.

Currently, the patients are treated at Field Hospital 2 of Hai Duong Medical Technical University Hospital.

The virus has spread to 13 cities and provinces across the country since it recurred less than a month ago. As many as 820 cases have been confirmed nationwide, with Hai Duong alone recording 636 cases.

The same day, 30 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital after making a full recovery, raising the total number of recoveries to 1,790 since January 27.
