A Vietnamese returning from Angola quarantined upon entry

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported one new imported case of COVID-19, a 43-year-old male, said the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on Wednesday evening.

On October 20, the Vietnamese man from Angola entered Van Don Airport in northern Vietnam on flight VN8 and was immediately transported to a quarantine facility in Bac Ninh province. The patient is now being treated at Bac Ninh General Hospital and his health condition is stable.

Vietnam has to date cured 1,062 of the total 1,173 COVID-19 patients, 35 died and there has been no more severe patients. After 56 days, Vietnam has not reported new infections in the community.
