(VOVworld) – A meeting was held on Monday to review the implementation of a master plan to simplify administrative procedures, citizenship papers, and the population management database (known as Program 896) in 2015, and set tasks for 2016. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke at the meeting: "It’s necessary to speed up the process of building a national database on population to make it more convenient for our citizens while saving costs and improving the national investment environment for deeper international integration. Many countries have their own national database on population and it’s important for us to have one as soon as possible, especially now that we’ve joined the ASEAN Community."
