(VOVWORLD) -The Action Month for Children 2022 was launched in Da Nang city on Friday, themed ‘Joining efforts for child protection and child abuse prevention’.

Le Van Minh, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said, “To build a safe and child-friendly community, we hope that departments, sectors, and localities will join efforts in implementing Action Month for Children with practical activities.”
“Greater focus should be made on helping and caring children, building and upgrading welfare works and support programs to improve living conditions and offering more opportunities for equal development for all children, especially poor and ethnic children,” said Minh.
Da Nang authority also presented 400 gift sets worth more than 19,000 USD to disadvantaged children.
This year’s program will run through the end of June and aims to enhance the sense of responsibility and coordination among sectors and relevant organisations in child protection and ensuring a safe summer for kids.
