The Chairwoman affirmed that Vietnam is one of the countries recording impressive results in development, poverty reduction, and improvement of people's living conditions. The purpose of her business trip is to oversee the general situation in Vietnam and the implementation of ActionAid projects in some localities, and learn about Vietnam's good practices to be able to replicate them in other countries.
Mr. Hung said that in order to continue sustainable development and protect the achievements of poverty reduction, Vietnam needs the support of expertise and resources from foreign non-governmental organizations, including ActionAid. He expressed his wish that ActionAid and the Chairwoman will continue to participate in future programs of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
ActionAid is an international anti-poverty organization, operating in more than 40 countries. It has been operating in Vietnam for more than 25 years with long-term development programs in the northwest, central highlands, Mekong delta and poor urban areas.
