th anniversary of Khe Sanh, Quang Tri victory.

An art exchange and a meeting to honor fallen soldiers in the Ta Con-Khe Sanh operation 45 years ago were held at the weekend.
Nguyen Ngoc Sac, Chairman of Huong Hoa district’s People’s Committee, says: "The meeting was held at Ta Con airport, the first airport built by the US in Khe Sanh to control roads from Laos and the Ho Chi Minh trail. The ceremony under the theme “Vietnamese strength” revitalized the Khe Sanh decisive battle to liberate Huong Hoa district. Khe Sanh victory was a factor to force the US to attend the Paris negotiation table."
The art troupe of the Tank and Armored Vehicle Force performed for people in mountainous areas of Huong Hoa district. Huong Hoa district’s People’s Committee and the Labor newspaper granted awards to song writers for their works in praise of Khe Sanh, Quang Tri.
