(VOVworld) – Various activities are underway to mark the 85th anniversary of Vietnam’s Communist Party. A delegation of Party and State leaders paid a floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi Monday morning. The delegation later laid a wreath at the Fallen Soldiers Memorial Monument. Art performances were held in Hai Duong and Tuyen Quang province on Sunday to mark the occasion. The same day, the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane, Laos, organized a music show to mark the Party’s 85th anniversary and welcome the Lunar New Year. One of the artists performing at the event, Hoai Phuong said: "Overseas Vietnamese, no matter where they live, all turn their hearts to their home country. We were very touched by their warm welcome for us. We have the feelings of being home whenever we perform in Laos."
The Vietnamese in Malaysia held a meeting to mark the event on Sunday where they reviewed Party activities in 2014 and set tasks for 2015.

The Political School of Quang Ngai province held a workshop on the 85-year development of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Monday. The delegates highlighted the glorious tradition of the Party and lessons learned over the past 85 years regarding the Party’s leadership. They also discussed the Party building work of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.

To mark the occasion, localities in Nghe An province paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh square in Vinh city and at President Ho Chi Minh’s Kim Lien home village and the Memorial House for late Party leader Le Hong Phong in Hung Nguyen district.
