ADB appoints new Vietnam director

(VOVWORLD) - The Asian Development Bank has appointed Shantanu Chakrabortty as its new Vietnam director.

He will oversee the implementation of the country partnership strategy for Vietnam until 2026, which focuses on the transition to a green economy, harnessing the potential of the private sector, and promoting social justice.

Chakrabortty, an Indian with nearly 28 years of professional experience in South, Central and West Asia, as well as in the US, replaces Andrew Jeffries, who recently left the position.
